After this, Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha is likely to meet promoters of telغير مجاز مي باشد on June 22-23 to take stock of China Faucet for kitchen Factory the crisis in the sector.New Delhi: Regulator Trai is set to meet telecom operators next week to discuss the financial pain in the sector and seek suggestions on measures that can be taken to ease the situation.During the upcoming meeting with the Trai Chairman, the operators will be asked to suggest measures that can be taken by the regulator to ease the financial situation in the industry. As it is, some of the key demands of the industry including reduction of licence fee and spectrum charges have already been favoured by the Trai.

A recent investor presentation by Reliance Communications has warned that the sector could be staring at 30,000 to 40,000 job losses over the next 12-18 months.Trai sources told PTI that the regulator has called a meeting of all operators on June 15.The gross liability of the telecom industry on account of debt as well as payments related to spectrum has been estimated at a whopping Rs 7,75,000 crore, as on March 31, 2017. But telecom operators lament they are facing pressure on income, profitability and other financial metrics on account of competition intensified by the entry of Reliance Jio -- owned by Mukesh Ambani.6 crore in the three-month period ended March 2017, hurt by the severe tariff war.Last month, Idea Cellular reported a consolidated loss of Rs 325. It is also learnt that two operators including Vodafone have asked the regulator to look at a meeting on June 16 instead, as their top brass will be travelling to Delhi at that time for consultation with the inter-ministerial panel.

The coming weeks will be crucial for the industry, and sector investors and analysts will be keenly watching for cues on relief measures being proposed.Debt-laden Reliance Communications, that has been reeling under a slew of rating downgrades over the last few days, reported its first annual loss since its inception of Rs 1,283 crore for the fiscal ended March 2017.The inter-ministerial panel - comprising officials from the telecom department and Finance Ministry - will hold a string of meetings with the operators between June 12-16.Incidentally, India, with over 1.16 billion mobile users is the second largest telecom market in the world, after China. The meeting by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) comes at a time when an inter-ministerial panel, too, is looking for ways to resolve the financial stress in the industry that is confronted with revenue and profitability pressures and mounting debt.."The idea of the meeting is to understand from the operators, what more can be done," a senior official said.India's largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel, too, reported its lowest quarterly profit in four years as net earnings slumped 72 per cent in January-March, hit by "sustained predatory pricing" by Jio

Feedback coming to the saffron party poll managers suggests that though anti-incumbency against the ruling Congress was the main issue, which the BJP has been highlighting, the state’s main Opposition party needs more ammunition in its armour to take on the ruling Congress.Though the BJP top brass has managed to contain the issue of factionalism, only the results of the Assembly elections will prove whether or not declaring party stalwart B.Though Mr Yeddyurappa is a prominent face of the Lingayats, a numerically strong community, Mr Siddaramaiah is also playing the caste card shrewdly this time, which includes promising special status to the community.Apart from wooing the dalits, the Congress is also focussing on “soft Hindutva”, projected by its party chief Rahul Gandhi, which is said to have reaped benefits for it in Gujarat.

At present the Congress holds 129 seats, BJP 44, and Janata Dal (Secular) 39 seats in the 229-member Assembly. Karnataka, where 17 per cent of the population is dalit, has had a history of a very strong dalit movement.Another issue, which the saffron poll managers have been closely monitoring, is that of how the dalit vote bank will react to the spurt in anti-dalit incidents in the country under the BJP-led NDA rule.In a redux of the Gujarat battle, both the BJP and Congress seem to be heading for a tough contest in the southern state. Yeddyurappa as the chief ministerial candidate was a good decision, sources said.S.The Congress and BJP have been both wooing the dalits ardently. During the course of his three-day visit, Mr Gandhi will address meetings and interact with various groups of intellectuals, farmers, women, and students in the state.Mr Gandhi is set to hit the campaign trail in the state between February 10 and 12. While the Congress, which is in power, is Wholesale brass faucet aerator battling anti-incumbency, it is not going to be a cakewalk for the BJP either as CM Siddaramaiah seems to be on a resurgent mode from the past 7-8 months.

Deve Gowda, might align with the Congress post polls, if needed.New Delhi: Contrary to expectations, it would not be a cakewalk for the BJP in Karnataka where the saffron party is trying to wrest power from the Congress, party feedback suggested.Though Mr Yeddyurappa’s Parivarthana rally has managed to garner support for the BJP, preparations are on full swing for the party’s star campaigner with none other than PM Narendra Modi participating in the valedictory function of the rally on February 4..“After the initial mood of anti-incumbency, Mr Siddaramaih has regained lost ground and we are not anticipating more than 80 seats for BJP.The third key factor in these elections, the Janata Dal (Secular) led by former Prime Minister H. In such a scenario, both Congress and JD(S) would be able to keep the BJP out of power,” a senior JD(S) leader told this newspaper. But the Congress seems to have an edge with the emergence of the new crop of dalit leadership led by Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani.D

Thankappan Nair, the city’s dedicated chronicler. That was when the East India Company’s Job Charnock slipped anchor in the Hooghly. A Scots jute mill manager’s percipient wife noted the absence of old folk because they went home as soon as they retired. Corpses littered the pavements.“The history of Colonial Calcutta dates from August 24, 1690,” says P. About three million people died from starvation with the authorities in Calcutta, New Delhi and London in total denial. But Kolkata, changing by not changing at all, keeps the beat even as many have wondered, since former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi once made the mistake of calling it “a dying city”, whether its heart stops every once in a while. Even the Scots Sir David Yule, who headed the biggest British conglomerate, Andrew Yule and Company, market leaders in jute, tea and river shipping, couldn’t escape the taint of trade. “A Ditcher’s Diary” was a popular column in the European-owned and edited weekly, Capital.

It may no longer have the same chutzpah in claiming itself the tag of being the “cultural capital” of India. Desperate mothers tried to sell starving infants. Robert Clive thought Calcutta “the most wicked place in the universe”.). The piteous cry “Mago! Ektu phan dao” (Dear mother, spare a little gruel) of children tottering from door to door filled the air. They were birds of pasغير مجاز مي باشدe.” The English were always a tiny minority. The city belongs and has always belonged to the English, and the native community in it is simply a foreign and parasitical community which would cease to exist if the English were to abandon it.The 1940s was the decade of darkness. And keeps happening, quite magically indeed.Kolkata is a mad city because of its chaos, but it is also happily insane as it takes pride in this chaos and unscripted life and living. Refugee shantytowns swallowed up open spaces. There might have been no relief at all but for the vigorous campaign by the Statesman and its editor, Ian Stephens, who accused the authorities of trying “to play down, suppress, distort or muffle the truth... Despite a major repatriation effort when the war ended, many stayed back.

This would be considered a fault in any other big town. Shops and eateries straddled pavements.. Office lore had it, recalled Bhaskar Mitter, who became Andrew Yule’s chairman in 1968, that His Majesty was mightily impressed when crossing the jetty to a jute mill, the thrifty Scotsman bent down and picked up a strand of the silvery fibre. As it hurtles along in the here and now, its head remains turned Brass quick opening spool to the past.” The mythic horrors of “the black hole of Calcutta” of British imagination became the metaphor for the city until Saint Teresa, the Albanian-born Roman Catholic missionary, replaced it with an even more horrific image of death and disease. Waves lashed Bengal’s coastal districts flooding the city with destitute villagers. Its jute mills lost their raw material.” A correspondent in the Englishman, a local newspaper nicknamed “John Bull of the East”, declared more bluntly, “Calcutta is a purely English city. Independence the following August meant further waves of Hindu refugees fleeing the new Muslim theocracy next door.
